This was drawn by the fantastic :icontoddnauck: through Marvel for the 'Extreme Home Makeover' show. It was used as a banner for a little boy's wall, who has brittle bone disease. The center effect around the boy actually served as a cut-out door in the final product.

Ummmm.... Do we really need to be that snarky? Does the placement of a work in the wrong category really rank a whole 6 question marks, 2 exclamation points, and a frowny face? And for a piece of charity art depicting a kid with a bone disease? From an industry professional? How about "Hey, I think you might have put this in the wrong category, looks cool though!" I'm just saying, let’s have some respect and not reinforce the "snarky emo artist" stereotype quite so much.

Dear mrteacher57,

you interpret my brief statement in a lack of respect for others? I can reassure you that is not so.

But yet your very personal attack "snarky emo artist" to me shows me exactly who can demonstrate a respectful tone, and who does not.

I want clarify. I'm not Emo. I'm not snarky.
Do not judge others. I am not at liberty to jugde others. You too.

This mess is not suitable for the overview, especially for what you are looking for. And look through at tutorial category. Much surely remarkable arts, but less helpful tutorials. And that's my concern. I just wish deviant art categories will more orderly by members.

Dear Artist of Extreme Home Make-over,

please do not take my first comments the wrong way. It was just an advice. No more, no less. I'm sure, you will earn more favourits, when your art is in right category. Look in first category on deviant art: Digital Art.

Arguing on the internet = lame, because it makes it easy to misinterpret someone.

I wasn’t trying to call you emo, as I don’t know you and can’t say whether you are emo or not. What I was saying was that that part of the emo-artist stereotype that we all fight against is to over-aggressively criticize trivial things like the accidental placement of a work in the wrong category. I was just trying to say that, instead of the multiple question marks and the exclamation points, which make it look like (even if it is not actually the case) the artist has somehow offended you by placing their work in the wrong category, maybe just try suggesting in a more respectful tone that the artist take a look at what category they placed the work in and that they consider relocating it? As a teacher, I have found that trying to phrase criticisms respectfully like this makes for an environment that is more conducive to creating and discussing creative works.

By the way, the sunset picture in your gallery is really beautiful. I love the subtle textural work on the clouds.

Have a great day!
